Una was started in 2012, inside my own 600 square foot apartment, and our goal was to empower business leaders and really revolutionize this procurement process. It was a classic startup scenario, we didn't have any resources really, just a compelling opportunity to help businesses grow. They were humble beginnings to say the least and Una has been successful because of the passionate team dedicated to driving the business forward.

Our brand promise - as a group purchasing organization - we leverage billions and billions of buying power and we want to empower procurement teams to accelerate their profitability.

The average Una member is going to save roughly 15-20 plus percent depending on, of course, the baseline where they're starting, and we've found over our 10,000 active members today that we've been one of the most effective cost cutting elements that you could bring into your organization.

"Una" in Latin actually means 'together' and to me, together means that we work in a partnership not only with our members but with our suppliers as well.

If you take a look at the Una logo, the triangle to me, the three corners of that, would be Una, our members, and then certainly our suppliers. When there's a harmony in relationship, great things can happen.

The members we typically work with are in what's called the corporate class of trade or private business. I would say that's about 90% of who we help and who we work with, but we can help just about anyone in terms of corporate, government, education and healthcare.

That intro call is going to be very important. We take that intro call and do a lot of vetting on both sides to make sure it's a good fit and can decide from there if we can help the member and work with them.
