We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR). This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about growing and learning in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Sales Development Representative at Una, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect new channel partners, associations, co-ops, and groups with members who have food or small parcel shipping spend
    • 4 accounts per year or 1 account per quarter
  • Prospect new direct food or shipping members
    • 12 accounts per year, 1 account per month
  • Strategically work with current suppliers in our database to see how we can grow what we have via auto-activation, increased fee share, etc.
    • 2 accounts per year or as needed
  • Work closely with our supplier partners to grow current relationships
  • Identify areas of contract need or growth in the current contract portfolio for Una membership or channel partnership base
  • Work with Una GM/VP to create proposals and outreach to new suppliers to implement custom contracts
    • 4 contracts per year or 1 contract per quarter - as needed
  • Produce 40-50% of the sales pipeline
  • Produce 10 quality meetings per month
    • Meetings will be booked on Sourcing Advisor's calendars to vet calls and move through the sales funnel
  • Conduct intro calls to further qualify leads before handing off to Sourcing Advisor
  • Make 25-50 calls or touches per day or ~200 per week with a focus on quality versus quantity

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Proficient in customer relationship management (CRM) software like Salesforce
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Self starter and ability to work from home with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel as needed during Una’s onboarding process during the first 90 days
  • Ability to travel to Kansas City area 2-3 times per year for team building activities and company retreats
  • Ability to travel 4-12 times per year for visits with our aggregator, supplier partners, channel partners, or large Una members
  • Basic knowledge of various CRM systems including Salesforce, Google Calendar, Zoom, LinkedIn and other prospecting tools
  • Previous procurement and/or GPO experience preferred but not required
  • Previous foodservice, food distribution, or parcel shipping experience with emphasis on GPO business model preferred but not required
